24 Hour Gym North Charleston SC | Open 24/7, No Contracts

Yes, there is a 24 hour gym in North Charleston

Palmetto Pump House is a 24 hour gym at 4221 Rivers Ave, Suite 100, North Charleston, SC 29405, and members train 24/7, 365 days a year. It is a powerlifting gym first: competition squat racks, deadlift platforms and calibrated plates, with chalk allowed. Whatever hour your program puts a session at, the session happens.

A powerlifting gym that is open around the clock

The room is set up for barbell work. Competition squat racks and deadlift platforms are the floor, the plates are calibrated, and chalk is allowed, so the weight you log is the weight you lifted. If you are peaking for a meet, you can run the last six weeks of a prep on the same kind of equipment you will compete on, and an opener becomes a number you trust rather than a guess. The gym has been the venue for two Powerlifting United meets, the South Carolina State Championships in February 2025 and the South Carolina Power Bar Showdown in June 2026, so the platforms have already held a competition day.

Round the clock access is what makes that possible for people whose week does not fit a normal gym schedule. Members train 24/7, 365 days a year. A holiday morning is a training day if that is where the block puts it, and a 4am squat before work counts the same as a 6pm one.

Who a 24 hour gym in North Charleston actually suits

  • Competitive powerlifters, in season and off
  • Military and civilians from Joint Base Charleston
  • Shift workers who train outside normal gym hours
  • Physique athletes running hypertrophy work
  • Serious recreational lifters who want real equipment
  • Travelers passing through Charleston who need a real barbell

Rotating shifts are the clearest case. If your week runs nights one month and days the next, a gym with fixed hours costs you sessions every time the rotation turns over, and a missed session in the middle of a block is the one that breaks it. Joint Base Charleston schedules do the same thing: duty, a deployment workup or an early formation moves training to whatever hour is left. Early lifters get the same benefit from the other end of the clock. If the only quiet hour you have is before the first shift of the day, that hour is a full training window here rather than a wait for someone to unlock a door.

What is on the floor

  • Competition squat racks
  • Deadlift platforms
  • Calibrated plates
  • Olympic lifting platforms and equipment
  • Chalk allowed

The list is short because it is the list we will put in writing. It is what you can count on finding at 4am, at noon and at midnight, since the equipment does not change with the hour.

What it costs

The Standard membership is $75/mo on a 3-month term, $85/mo month to month, and both buy the same 24/7 access. Month to month has no long-term contract behind it. A 3-month term is the only commitment we sell, and it is worth taking if you already know you are training here through a full block.

Military, veterans and first responders are $60/mo with valid ID, and students are $65/mo with a valid student ID. The part-time membership is $50/mo for limited hours, so check which hours it covers in the booking portal before you pick it, because full access is a different line. Couples are $125/mo for two members on one membership. If you are in town for a session or want to lift here before joining, a day pass is $20. Every membership and pass, with what each one covers, is on the membership page.

Prices are set in our booking portal, which is where you pay. If a price here ever disagrees with the portal, the portal is right.

How to join

Buy a membership or a pass in the booking portal, then train the same day, at whatever hour that turns out to be.
